Lanzhou-Tibet Bus (Tibet) March 20, 1999 China Daily

Lanzhou-Tibet bus

A SHUTTLE bus based in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, will begin to ply the route to Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region this month, sources with the Lanzhou No 1 Shuttle Company said.

A travel agency associated with the company will also promote a 13-day tour package featuring the spectacular landscape and scenic spots along the route.

En route, travellers can visit Xiahe, Xining, Golmud and Lhasa. Travelling along the 2,216-kilometre route is expected to give visitors enough time to acclimate themselves to the special environment on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
